Gaara needed help.
He'd always thought that his jeans and T-shirt combination had been fine. It was comfortable...and if he was cold, he could add a hoodie or if he was hot, he could take his shirt off. But Gaara wasn't really an exhibitionist, and taking things off in general made him feel...uncomfortable.
But then he started noticing that his baggy shirts had become just that little bit tighter and since he'd shot up six inches over the summer his trousers were short, and that maybe...just maybe, he might possibly need to...
buy new clothes.
This was a scary prospect...especially since Gaara didn't really know what to do. Girls rang their friends. And since he wasn't a girl and he didn't know what guys did about their clothes shopping--
Temari said she'd give him a little help (thank God he had a sister), but told him that she had 'other' things to do.
He picked through the skimpy fishnet shirts and wondered where the fabric had gone.
In fact...the real mystery was where the clothes had gone...
OoC: I would like Temari to post first, seeing as I mentioned her and all ;D

She was frantically running through the District Mall.
Temari couldn't help but despise this damnable thing due to it's abnormally large size... Sure, this place looked small but right when you step through these doors... it's a whole different story.
"So much for what I was going to do today... That whole plan went down the drain when the freakin' store closed down..."
But she was determined to reach her destination, Gaara needed some new clothes and of course, she would give him a little help. Not alot. Just a little. The blonde ran through multiple stores... of course today HAD to be the day she got lost...
Attention snapping towards familiar red hair through the crowds of women...? Exactly what was Gaara doing over there...? Of all the places for him to land himself in... It seemed her little brother had gotten himself lost too.
"Gaa-chan~ Over here"

"Tema-chan!" He yelled gratefully, he pushed past the people to make his way over to her, he suddenly decided that this was much better, shopping with Temari, with her familiar quartet pig-tails and corn-coloured hair. This was gonna be a piece of cake!
And with luck, that was what he was going to have later.
He just knew that he would have been useless on his own.
Gaara felt in his pocket for his wallet to check that it was still there and smiled Number Six: THANK YOU SO MUCH, which came out only when people did him massive favours or gave him a huge amount of pocky.
He looked back at the crowd of women and then once again at Temari, to check that she was still there. Shopping was confusing for someone who made his first friend three days ago, he told himself.
"So...what do we do now?"

Temari smiled brightly towards her brother as he ran towards her.
There was just something about him that could melt away Temari's anger with such ease. It's been like this for some many years and she has yet to even figure out the answer.
It were those smiles which he could brighten up everyone's day... but Gaara just needed to show them much more.
"What do we do, you ask? Well~ this mall is freakishly large so it might take us awhile just to find the right place---" she sighed softly, looking towards her somewhat confused brother.
"Maybe afterwards we could go stop by that sweets shoppe. I heard they have some really good stuff there~ And also... exactly what do you want to buy today, Gaa-chan?"

"Aw how cute! I just love this colour! This will fit my new mini-skirt perfectly!" Ino exclaimed as she grabbed another shirt. She just loved shopping like this. Somehow she forgot about everything else when she was shopping and this made her feel calm.
She grabbed another shirt and smiled when she saw that a fan-design was visible on it. "Wow, I'm sure Tema-chan would love this one!~" She said as she held the shirt in front of her. "She's about my size, so this would fit her just perfectly!"
She nodded and walked over to the cass-register as she bought the two items. This day was going great. She had only entered three shops in the mall and she already had a nice shirt and a gift for a friend as well. This was going to be a good day for shopping!~
"Have a nice day!" She exclaimed giving the shop clerk a smile, before she turned around.
She exited the shop with bags in hand as she sighed. It was pretty crowded outside. Her eyes widened slightly when she heard a familiar voice though. And when she heard the special nickname, she smiled and walked over to the voice.
"I thought it was you, Tema-chan!" She said as she stopped next to the girl. She turned to the red haired boy and grinned. "Good to see you too, Gaara-chan~ Is your mean sister using you to carry her bags or something?" She exclaimed laughing softly. Oh, she loved messing with her.

"NO, FUJU! You CANNOT have another cookie! You HAVE to go home! STOP following me!"
"No, Umi-NeeChan! Mummy's doesn't make as nice food as you, can't I stay with you?"
"No! I'm having trouble enough paying the rent without Enda and Shonji, I can't take care of you too!"
"Nee-Chaaaan!" The young black haired boy looked up with large, brilliant green eyes, filled with crocodile tears, right into his sisters dark eyes, who flinched, and looked around at the scene they were causing. Bending down, setting down the bag she was holding, filled with food, down on the floor, and kept on looking at him.
"Only for dinner. But then your going home!" Fuju nodded, and smiled, and decided it would be fun to dance around his older sister, as she tried to herd him into the clothes shop, the bag having resumed it's rightful place, ten centimetres above her knees. Wearing a pair of loose brown trousers, and a black t-shirt, tight, she didn't really look like she needed clothes...She had managed to have most of them stolen when she was at school. Looking up, she smiled as she saw Gaara and Temari, and Ino. "Oi! Piggy, Fangirl, Gaara! You're all here!"

OoC: I did the colour thing to make this easier. Plus its easier to define who is speaking.
"How about some shirts? I have no idea where they are though..."
Going clothes shopping always made him feel stupid, it was probably the lack of knowledge of what to buy, what was 'good' and whether something was cheap or not. Gaara automatically classified everything under 1000 yen as not expensive and Temari had always told him that was not true for clothing and toasters.
He was almost as inexperienced around toasters as well.
Whilst mentally thanking Temari in his head, he heard Ino come up behind him.
"Is your mean sister using you to carry her bags or something?" She asked, and Gaara blushed at the comment.
"...no!" He mumbled. "It's the other way around actually"
Suddenly it seemed that what had seemed to just be a small shopping trip had turned into a thing when Umi appeared from the deep and murky depths of the mall.
And there was a small kid hiding behind her. He was quite cute actually.
Almost too cute.
Gaara realised this when he decided to attach himself to Gaara's leg.

It was two days before school was starting, so it was no wonder that it was getting very, very, crowded. School shopping, shopping for new clothes, or just simply hanging out at the mall before they could get too busy. The hussling and bussling of the student body had her feeling quite content.
She needed to buy a lot, and she was spending quality time with her mother shopping the whole day. They came rather early, they had spent time picking out things like paint, furniture, linen, accessories, all in the designer stores that usually they wouldn't enter. Sakura had to update her room, as a teen she wasn't into the 'white fairytale' scene and her mother had encouraged her to go all out.
Her mother was being great, normally she'd be embarrassed to be seen at the mall with her mom but now she couldn't give a crap to what anyone would say. This was their catching up, and with mommy dearests wallet full of credit cards, she felt very blessed. One very friendly boy was helping take their things to their house, and her cousins and aunt were also shopping, and were glad to help them out by taking things to the boy's car. Now, looks weren't everything, but they played a bonus here. It saved Sakura the trouble of carrying everything around and she'd get to drive home in a sweet looking ride.
Whoever said shopping wasn't an excersize though, needed to be shot down. For school supplies they went shop to shop, Sakura was extremely picky about the quality of her tools. If it wasn't the best, she wouldn't have it, and her mother fully agreeed. Yes, Sakura was still a bookworm at heart, but she was one that was in style.
"Sakura, your aunt just called to tell me that she needs some help picking up supplies for your cousin. You're done with yours right?" They were just walking out of a variety store, the seventeen year old trailing behind them with arms full of notebooks, binders and other things.
Her mother, was looking happier than usual, a more energetic look in her aged grey eyes. She was pretty, ver ladylike considering her upbringing, but for her daughter she was loose and kind. Considering that she had been alone, many were happy to see her smiling face. Sakura especially.
"Yeah, I just want to pick up some more clothes. Is that okay?" Haruno-san nodded, taking out her purse to hand her daughter a credit card. The boy with them whistled, elicting a chuckle from both females.
"You really do get the best of everything, don't you Sakura-chan?" He teased while balancing the bags. Sakura merely shot him a cheeky smirk. Her mother could only shrug in an careless manner. Sakura was already spoiled, no point trying to change that now.
"I'll see you." Her mother gave Sakura a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving her, reluctant to part but sisterly duty compelled her to. In that time Sakura turned to her helper, looking up at him with a grateful expression.
"I'm pretty sure you would hate for me to drag you around while I pick out my clothes, right?" She watched amused as his face scrunched up in an unpleasant look. "I thought so, you've done so much already, you can take a break and indulge in your machoness. If there's anything I can do..."
He smirked down at her. "I failed math twice, if you're willing to tutor an impossible person like me, I can spare some time helping two fine ladies out."
They parted after they sealed the deal. Sakura was all by herself now, with a credit card in her purse and an eye for fashion. She checked herself out in the window of a clothing store. Her pink layered locks spiked out attractively, giving the slight look of a punk. The red ribbon in her hair was familair, it was the one Ino gave to her. It was tied in a smaller bow, sitting at an angle to the side. Sporting blue jeans and a yellow top, she was looking bright and happy.
The white purse hung at her shoulder, and she stepped into the first clothing store she saw. Hm... Fishnets, she always wanted to wear some, but their kind of clothing was always so... Slutty. At least what the stores tended to sell.
She looked along the clothing racks, interested in the more funkier of designes. She didn't follow what was in, she followed what she thought would catch eyes without having to show much. Hey, of she was going to spend her mom's money she migh as well have her in mind. Haruno-san, no matter how glad she was that her daughter was back, would kill her if she saw her in a miniskirt and baby tee top.
'Hmm, this is pretty lolita, very cute.' She picked out some headbands and hair accessories, then moving onto the necklaces and bracelets.
"Is your mean sister using you to carry her bags or something?"
"...no!" A voice mumbled, "It's the other way around actually"
Sakura paused as she heard voices, some familair and some unfamilair. Curiousity caused her to abandon her shopping mission for a moment, slowly walking over to the group.
Instantly she recognized her two best friends, Ino and Temari. She smiled, glad to happen upon them. Maybe they'd like to shop with her, it was usually something that was fun to do together, right? Beside the four-tailed female was a red-head boy, who seemed just slightly familair. Where had she seen someone like that?
Could that be her brother that she's heard about? From rumours that she's heard, he wasn't quite the nice one. The other girl was with a little boy, and she was certain they never met before. Well no use standing around, with a pleasant look she approached them.
"Ino-pig, Tema-chan, nice seeing you here." She greeted with a laugh and a wave. "Is it just me, or does it feel like absolutely everybody decided to shop today? I must have seen two dozen people I knew." Green moved towards Umi, nodding her head in the usual Japanese greeting. Then, as if in order, her eyes looked up to the only boy in the group, sans the little one of course.
"You must be Temari's brother." They didn't really look a lot like each other, she figured he must look more on the father, where as Temari was the spitting image of the mother. "My name is Haruno Sakura, I don't suppose Temari ever mentioned me?" Sh chuckled, looking over to the mentioned girl and winking.

And yet another person appeared.
It was...Sakura? Temari's best friend (other than Ino). It was the first time he had actually talked to her properly, but he had already seen her hanging around with Temari before. Usually her, Ino and his older sister hung out in a threesome, and they had a sleepover a couple of days ago.
...he remembered Kankuro's lousy attempt at dinner. A salad, of some sort. They'd ended up calling for take-out because neither of them could bear to look at the cucumber.
It was too depressing.
"You kidding?" He replied to the pink-haired girl. "She's always going on about you. Its always 'Sakura said this, Sakura did that' at our house."
He shook his leg a little, to try and divert the little kid's attention to something else.
It didn't work.

Carelessly nodding at the girl, she bent down, then stood straight up again, her back sharp as a pin. Or a sharp...thing. "Sa-Sa-Sak'ra-Chan?" About to give her a hug, before the leg that Fuju was attatched to was shaken, and Fuju was clinging onto it for dear life. "Uhm...One second."
Bending down, she grabbed Fuju's waist, and tried to pull him off Gaara. Jeez, he was inhumanely strong for someone this age. "C'mon Fuju, I'll buy you ice-cream, pocky, whatever you want if you just let go! I'll buy that teddy bear you wanted, I'll let you sleep over, but you can't grab onto someone who you don't know's leg." "No! I'm going to stay here with Ani-Kun, what're you called?" "Gaara, but get off him!" Standing up, looking apologetically at the red haid, she continued a staring contest with Fuju. "Gaara-NiiChan!"

Seeing the dark haired girl approaching with some little kid with her, Ino smiled gently as he waved towards the girl. "Hey Umi-chan~"
Ino giggled when Gaara made the comment. The poor boy was blushing as well. She couldn't help but think that it was kind of cute. Of course she knew that Temari wasn't like that. Well, that wasn't entirely true. The blondy from Suna might do it with her other brother, Kankurou. But that guy deserved it sometimes. But this was Gaara, Temari's sweet little brother. She didn't know why, but she had always had a soft spot for the little guy.
When she heard the angelic voice of Sakura, she smiled sweetly at the girl. "Hey forehead, nice to see you. I see that you were shopping as well, eh." She immediately noticed Sakura's hair. It looked wild and she couldn't help but think that it made the girl that more sexy. And she was still wearing the red ribbon she herself gave Sakura as well. "Looking good there, forehead~" She added before she winked one time, before turning to the red haired boy.
Ino couldn't help but smile when Gaara told her that Temari had mentioned the pink haired girl quite often. It was true. Temari and herself often talked about Sakura, when they were together. They had missed her so much and sometimes talking about it was the best thing to do. And she knew that he didn't know that she knew, but Gaara often listened in on their conversations.
She walked over to the pink haired girl and slung an arm around her shoulder. "Come on Sakura. You don't think that we never talked about you, did you. We missed you alot, of course you were mentioned alot during our conversation. Your our best friend and even more for goodness sake." She said as she looked towards Temari.

The kid's main weapon was his cuteness. He remembered that from yesterday. Fuju acted like a six-year-old and managed to wheedle all of Gaara's chocolate off of him.
GAARA=DEFENCE MODE.
"Look kid, please let go. Pleaaaase. Pretty please?"
Okay. That didn't seem to be working. He needed to persuade the kid to let go. And somehow, he didn't think that would work...
GAARA=ATTACK MODE.
Think Gaara! Think! You can do this. You're three years older than him! You're going to go to high school soon! You can out-think an kid! "I'll give you a piggy back! I'll give you this!" He brandished the pocky box from nowhere and waved it enticingly before the eleven-year-old's eyes.
"Yay!" Fuju said happily and glomped Gaara. "Now you gotta give me piggy back the whole day!" Then he grabbed the pocky box and smiled fiendishly.
Great.
Just great.

Everything was swimming around a bit too quickly in Temari's head.
Firstly, so many people had just appeared... just a second ago, it was just both Gaara and herself and now... LOOK at this!
Secondly, both Ino and Sakura had appeared right next to her. It's kind of weird when everyone you know so well appear out of the blue while shopping. This mall is known for its wonderous shops in which are favorites to all.
Thirdly, Umi had appeared with the most ADORABLE little boy! The suna girl couldn't help but admit he was so cute, and she could tell that Gaara had completely agreed when the kid latched himself upon Gaara's leg. It was useless to pull him off, that boy wasn't going anywhere.
"For your information, Piglet~ Im shopping with Gaa-chan today. I'm not that evil to force him to carry my bags. Kanky-chan though... that's a WHOLE different story"
Kankurou... her younger brother whom deserved that torture of carrying her bags. He especially deserved such treatment after what she discovered when coming home from Ino's house after the sleepover.
Gaara had told her it was a cucumber... but the damn thing moved when she was just watching it lay there on the kitchen table. The poor thing mutated or something but dear gods, that was one of the reasons she regretted about not teaching those two how to cook.
Laughing softly, eyes latched upon Umi and smiled brightly before looking down at the little boy with an adoring expression washed over her features. He was cute...
Too cute...
"So your name is Fuju, huh? And it also seems you have a liking for Gaa-chan~ It's rare to see him share is pocky with others, you know. You're a lucky one, kid" her right hand ruffled up the boy's hair softly before she smiled sweetly. If it wasn't for only meeting this boy a few moments ago, Temari was certain she would kiss his forehead.
Yep, Temari was a sucker for the little kids.
Scoffing slightly, looking once around at the clothes she had to admit were for those who wanted to fix themselves in the T & A department, she sighed. This wasn't the exact place for them to be shopping... hell, it wasn't even right for the kid to be here.
Her feet guiding themselves towards the door, the four-tailed blonde look towards the semi-huge group and sighed exaggeratedly before grinning.
"So, are you guys coming or not? Does this look like the right place to actually go shopping for clothes, Gaa-chan?" a smirk crossed her features looking at her still flushed brother before pulling out her own stash of chocolate pocky, sticking one between her pressed lips.
This is going to be one looonnnggg shopping day, but I think I'm going to enjoy this one...

"Well how was I supposed to know!"
Gaara felt a sudden burst of claustrophobia, the little kid was invading his personal space...looking for Temari for help. He had been doing that a lot. Whenever he needed help; Temari. The person who'd looked after him; Temari.
For once Gaara wished that he wasn't so dependant on her. Because he knew that she wasn't going to be there for him forever...
"Niiiii-chaaaaaan! I wanna piggy-back! You prrrroooommiiiisssseeeedddd!"
Little tyrant. Gaara bent down and the kid grabbed onto his neck and clung to his back.
He was really...heavy...for someone who looked like a seven-year-old.
And why exactly am I doing this again?
"Okay, we're all set!"

Sakura laughed, not understanding how Gaara-kun didn't just pry the kid off and demand to be left alone. No matter how cute kids were, Sakura was a tyrant in her rigbt, and she would set kids straight. There was a reason why her cousins get so scared of her... That was when she was younger too. So instead of commenting on the kid, she nodded in reply to his statement. This was definitely not the Gaara she's heard about, he seemed to be happy and sweet.
That was good, Temari didn't need stress from troubled brothers, if they were happy then it would be alright.
Ino commented on her appearance and she smiled, running a hand through her hair. "You think so? I just kind of threw this stuff on. I was here since morning!" Then she heard Temari say that they were leaving, and she raised a hand full off some accessories and headbands.
"Not so fast, I have to actually pay for these. You guys go ahead without me, I can catch up easily. The mall isn't THAT big." She chided, winking and waving in an off manner as she turned her back to them. Now where was that cashier... Oh yes, beside those pretty looking earings. Why did everything in this store scream either lolita or slut to her? Well there were a few good things here, the lingerie was pretty hot. Hmm, but she didn't really need stuff like that. Why pay 30 dollars for a set of fancy lace when no one's going to see it?
So she headed to the cash register, only picking up a black rose scrungie that she thought looked classy.
