Attention! This is for teachers and over eighteens (Itachi) only! Any students posting in this thread will have their post deleted!
Kurenai was proving that teachers had lives out of school. For she had organised a party. A party taking place in Twilight, a mediocre club that didn't have hoodies smashing bottles everywhere. It was a party that was going to be way better than whatever her future students could ever come up with.
The food lay innocently on the tables, the karoeke machine geared up and ready, the music taken care of and the dance floor relatively empty.
All that was needed were some people.

Kakashi was still called a newbie as a teacher, his first year was pretty good, but in the beggininbg he didn't have any respectfrom thstudents but a year of hard test, hardcore detentions, but also interesting classes and really fun field trips gave him some respect. Now during the summer he was walking artound bookm shops, the school, getting ready for the new school year, abd then suddenly Kurenai-chanhave in vited him and all other teacvhers and non minors for a party.
He went why not? He was clothed in a simple black t-chirt under a green shirt and a jeach pants, his traditional mask and eye bandages were still there unmoved. When he entered the club he was the first person to be there exept Kurenai.
"Hey Kure-chan how you've been doing!" he said in a happy voice.

Shizune breathed softly as she strode through the streets softly. It's been awhile since the blackhaired woman was in Konoha, the last time she actually was able to enjoy the serene atmosphere was when she was still a little girl. That was before the whole escape, she's missed loads and still wished to catch up on old friends.
Starting the schoolyear as Konoha High's head secretary... though that position of Assistant Principal was still secret, Shizune was in need to meet up with somebody around her age. Her onyx eyes caught upon a dark window inwhich was encased a club of some sort. Many things had changed during their absence. Shizune ran across the street quickly, jerking her head around just to see if her piglet companion was following her. She was safe.
Her hands brushed against the door before she opened it slightly, peeking in Shizune was certain that lone woman in the room looked familiar and the same goes for the silver haired man. Were they from her childhood? Eh, she didn't really know but a slight gasp escaped from her lips when the woman turned around.
"Kure-chi? Is that you...?" she murmured softly tilting her head slightly. She could remember those eyes completely, Kurenai was one of the first friends she ever made before her 'kidnapping'.

Asuma sighed as he was walking through the lone streets of Konoha. He didn't know how that woman managed to convince him to go to that party. She knew that he was lazy and hated stuff like this. He just wanted to stay at home to do some lifting or something.
He stopped as he looked at the wall of the building and frowned as her saw that he was there. Twilight. That was the name of the club where the party was to be held. Damn, smoking inside the building wasn't allowed as well. He shook his head, before throwing the cigarette on the ground. He stepped on it to make it out and then headed inside.
Peeking inside, he immediately spotted his friend Kakashi. He seemed to be happy to be here. Well, good for him. He gave the man a smile, before he turned his view towards the two other people in the building. He smiled gently as he walked over to them, seeing his good friend and secret crush standing there. "Hey Kurenai. Nice party you've got going on." He said as he grinned.
He then turned to the other woman. She was very pretty. He had to say that she was on par with Kurenai. She seemed familiar somehow. But who was it again? Had he seen her in Konoha? A light bulb appeared above his head, as his eyes widened. It couldn't be right? "Is that you, Shizu-chan?"

"Eep~!" she squeaked out softly before quickly covering her mouth with her sleeve-covered hands. Shizune turned around just to see exactly whom called her.
Though a wave of confusion overcame her eyes when she looked at the man. He looked familiar but she couldn't comprehend exactly who this mysterious man was, but he called her 'Shizu-chan' and only someone close to her would ever think of calling her such a name. "Um... Please forgive me for being rude but... can you tell me exactly who you are...? It's been awhile since I've been in Konoha so my memory is kind of whacked... Gomen..." the blackhaired woman blushed as she looked away shyly.
But then it actually hit her, she looked towards the man once again and looked deeply into his eyes. Shizune could figure out anyone if she looked into their eyes for the moment. The puzzled look faded from her black orbs as her hands latched upon her mouth in shock. Her face once again flushed up in embarrassment as bowed clumsily.
"G-gomen nasai Asuma-san~! I can't believe I couldn't remember you... it's been awhile since we left so yes, I'm recieving so many surprises each minute~"

Asuma couldn't believe his eyes and ears. It was really her. She was finally back! He didn't know why but out of impuls he gave the girl a hug. "It's good to see you back, girl." He said before releasing the woman from his hold. He couldn't believe that his good friend and former crush was really back in the village. He had missed her quite a bit these years.
He looked her over quickly and smiled. "You have become really pretty, Shizu-chan." He then rubbed the back of his head, before he sighed. "And there's no reason to call me so formel either. Just call me how you used to call me, silly." He exclaimed smiling softly. This outing had become better than he had imagined already.

Only a few days more before school was to begin. Iruka breathed a heavy sigh as he walked down the street, having somehow managed to drag himself away from his summer school work (grading the flunkie's papers, those that had bothered to turn anything in, anyway) to go to the party that Kure-cha~errr... Kurenai-sempai had invited him to.
He grimaced, realizing that Asuma-sempai would most likely be there as well. Everyone seemed to realize there was something between them, except them. Shaking his head to rid himself of his disappointment and secret feelings for his older peer, He walked into the little dive bar she had decided to throw the party at.
While he was certainly not the first to arrive, it appeared as though he wasn't particularly late, either. Iruka recognized Kakashi, Kurenai, and Asuma (to his disdain); however there was another woman present who looked familiar but he couldn't name.
"Hello, everyone... Nice to see all of you..."

"Oi!Oi. It's gettingcrowded 'ere" said Kakashi cheerly. With a smile under his mask. He looked at Shizune. She hadn't lost that charm of hers.

A smile graced Shizune's lips when she looked around. More and more people were arriving by the second, and they were all pretty good friends of hers, the blackhaired woman couldn't believe how her childhood friends had changed over the years. From the corner of her eye, Shizune was certain she saw Kakashi looking at her and yet again... an 'invisible' flush overcame her cheeks.
Though when Iruka walked in, her smile faded just for a moment. He was the one she really wanted to see, even though she never showed it as a young girl... Shizune really did have a somewhat crush on the man. Kind of silly as Tsunade had said to her years back, even she noticed that Iruka liked Kurenai better than the onyx eyed girl, but that didn't stop her from trying.
Shizune turned towards the brown haired man before smiling, but inside she felt a soft of depression. Yet another person had forgotten who she was, but once again... Shizune was determined to settle herself back into this city. "Hello Iruka-san. It's been awhile since I've been here in Konoha, it's great to see you again"

...and suddenly, Kakashi was no longer next to her...
"Aaaah!"
I should stop spacing out! She told herself sharply. Or I'll miss all the fun!
Wait a second!
"Shizu? Shizu-chan?" Kurenai practically tackled Shizune to the floor to try and show how much she'd missed her.
But then she suddenly saw the man standing next to her.
She nervously removed her arms from Shizune's neck and turned to look at him.
"Uhm...umm...Asuma...hey...I have to...go....do stuff." She floundered uselessly and wondered if he noticed how much she liked him. He probably didn't, Shizune once told her that men were bad at that kind of thing.
And then she saw...Iruka...
"Hey Iruka!" She shouted, and tried to get his attention.

"Kombonwa-gozaimasu, hito..." He muttered as the woman greeted him and stood expectantly, as though waiting for him to suddenly know who she was. Great to see me... again? I've seen you before? he thought, wondering who on earth this woman was.
He looked her up and down. Average height, obsidian eyes, fair skin... bowl cut. Hadn't been in Konoha for a long while.... The only person he could think of that met that description...
Iruka's eyes widened. "Shizu-Chan!?" His best friend in elementary school, that had left seemingly without a trace over a decade ago... "Is that really you?"
He stared at her dumbly. Slowly (or, at least it seemed that way at the time) his face dissolved to a grin, and then he began to laugh. Not a cruel, evil or derisive snort; this was a true, pure laugh. Rare these days. He took a step forward to embrace his old friend, only to see that Kurenai had gotten to her first.
Well then.
Realizing that any sort of group hug would be incredibly awkward, he stopped and refrained from making contact with the two women. After a few seconds, Kurenai let go of Shizune and addressed him, acknowledging his presence at her gathering and making his heart thump in his ears. She had just began talking to him instead of Asuma. Did that mean...
He mentally berated himself for even thinking about it. Even if she did have any romantic feelings for him, they definitely wouldn't be revealed in front of the other man. Besides, Shizune was back! Catching up with this woman who was once his best friend took precedence over whatever silly love triangle they may or may not be in at work. "Kombanwa, Kurenai-senpai. How are you?"

Asuma smiled as the people in the building starting to remember the onyx eyed woman who had been gone for so long. She had disappeared so sudden and he had to admit that he had been worried about her a lot. Every now and then he would look at old group pictures of them, wondering what she was doing and if she'd ever come back to Konoha. But now she was back and he couldn't wait to start asking her questions.
He was surprised though as Kurenai practically tackled Shizune to the ground. A genltle smile graced his face. But when the red eyed woman suddenly turned her eyes to him, he became a bit nervous. She was looking at him. What was he supposed to do? But when she said that she had to go and called Iruka's name, who just entered the building, he sighed. So she didn't like him, eh...
Shaking his head, he tried to get everything together again. Kurenai was no happily talking to the scarred man, so that left him with Shizune. He couldn't wait to catch up with her. He walked over to her and took her hand. "Come on, Shizu-chan. Let's get a drink. I can't wait to hear what you've been doing all these years." He looked her in the eyes and smiled. She has become pretty indeed.

Kurenai cringed inside. Not only had she just ruined her chances with Asuma; Asuma was going for a drink with Shizune. Going for a drink...that was like the male way of saying going for a date.
She gave Iruka a friendly peck on the cheek and thanked him for coming. She snatched a glance of Asuma and Shizune.
They were talking. Oh God they were talking...
Maybe Iruka could give her advice. He'd always been the first person she turned to whenever she had a problem. But she'd never asked him about Asuma before. Maybe it would be better to see what would happen.
"How's the marking gone?" She asked him. "Mine's been awful, half of them can't even spell...."

Her head was spinning at the moment. So many things were happening so fast that it took Shizune a few minutes to ease it all into her brain. Though when the blackhaired woman finally thought she was safe... Shizune was nearly tackled by Kurenai. But before she could say a single word to the woman or Iruka at that, Kurenai wisked away from both her and Asuma, and ran towards Iruka.
But before she noticed that Asuma had took hold of his hand, Shizune noticed the slight kiss to the cheek Kurenai had given Iruka. She softly bit her lips but shook it away and tried to get back to reality. Smiling at Asuma, Shizune nodded her head in approval.
"Doing all of these years...? Well, it hasn't been 'slow' since my 'kidnapper' was getting us out of the cities before paying up from her gamble losses. She wasn't like that in the past, no.. but she actually took a break from those profits to settle in a small city near Osaka" she chuckled remembering the times both her and Tsunade had to sneak out of those casinos before actually getting caught.
"Though, we left soon after and made it to Osaka. It was like a blur until I found myself working in a hospital as a doctor's assistant"

Asuma too had seen the kiss on the cheek from Kurenai to Iruka and he quickly looked away. It saddened him that she had chosen the scarred man over himself. Well, as long as Kurenai was happy, right? And here he was himself, with another beautiful and kind woman. So what was he complaining about anyways?
Asuma just had to laugh for a moment because of the 'kidnapper' remark. He shook his head and smiled at her. "Well, it sounds like you had a good time out there."
He had a question though. "So you worked in the hospital, eh? Is that what you're going to do here in Konoha as well?" He asked when they finally reached a table with two chairs. He walked over to one chair and pulled it back a bit and nodded over to Shizune as to say that he was waiting for her to sit down there.
